Lesson learned in the woods

I love trying new things, and this year I have taken up hunting. So I went and bought a crossbow and some camo's. My good friend took me to the woods and started showing me what to look for, where to shoot the deer, and how to be ready when they come. Most of the time you wait, and wait for that sound of a deer walking near your tree stand.  During that time, while you wait for that buck, it is very peaceful. You can hear everything. Squirrels, humming birds, and rabbits can be running around you.  In the beginning, you really enjoy this time because you are not "busy". But now, it's been 5 times that I have been out in the woods, and still no deer.  You see the same squirrels and start even giving them names. I realized yesterday afternoon that I was starting to get access to the deer.

This morning I woke up reflecting on my times in the woods. The holy spirit started talking to me on how I do the same thing in my walk in life. I would get a revelation or an idea and I would not waist any time in applying it to my life. With my strengths being futuristic person and an activator, pioneering is very easy for me. Seeing results, however, is a different matter. If I don't see the results quickly, I tend to be anxious and start doing things on my own instead on being dependent on God. It was the same being in the woods. As much fun as I am having, I still want to take that deer down. But I am realizing, hunting is more than just seating on a tree stand and waiting. You have to know the behaviors of the deer. You have to know where the deer are coming from and which area they are going to. It's the same when God gives you a dream, revelation or an idea. Its' not so much about achieving it, but what you learn during the process of achieving it.  He wants us to learn His ways. As you discover His ways, I feel the process is shortened because He starts giving you the secrets of life. But when we try to do things on our own, we delay our promises. The verse that comes to me is "Be still, and know that I am God". Funny being still is a key when your hunting out in the woods :)

I find myself seeing a huge bonfire

During the last 3 meetings I have been a part of, I find myself seeing a huge bonfire. People are getting set free, healed, and delivered. You can feel the hunger from people putting everything on the altar. I feel that it is like when Elijah called down fire and consumed 50 men. In 2 kings 1:10 Elijah called down fire if God thought he was worthy. Since we live under the new covenant, we are all worthy of his consuming fire.

What do we do now since the Lord has lit the fire? Bill Johnson says it best. "God lights the fire on the altar, but we keep it burning." There are so many ways to keep burning. As for me, I do a few things.

I read the promises and prophetic words that have been given to me.

Second, I like to get out of the box. I love the church, but the power cannot be contained in a box.

Third, I give thanks to God for what he has given me. If we are not careful about stewarding what we have, then we can choke the fire within us. Having a thankful and grateful heart is crucial to keep growing and keep the fire burning.

Keep burning my friends,
Hector

Stay on train

This past Sunday I decided to go on a different rout to Church. Instead taking the highway, I decided to take the back roads.  Driving through the back roads you get to go through the different towns, but what remained constant, was the train track. I felt the Lord gave me a revelation about this movement he has us in.. First If you like me, we want to influence cities and nations with Gods goodness. But to often we take it upon ourselves with our own ambitions. How ever if you stay on what God has started in your life or community people will automatically see the light in you. They will also hear the thundering sound of your heart. Like a train passing through a town, everyone knows that train is coming. In fact transportation has to yield to the train or they will get run over. When we stay on board what God starts then cities will take notice.

The second thing I received is that it does not take allot of efforts to go from city to city. Its because the train is what takes you there. Even while you are sleeping your going through places. Its easier to rest in what he starts then what you start on your own.

The last thing I saw was the train consisted of different cabs. Some cabs were for dining, some were for entertainment, and others for maintenance. When we stay on Gods track each of us have a certain role and place in it. This is what makes the train shine even brighter. Have you ever watched a train going by where all the cabs were the same. Its kinda boring, but when you see a train with different cabs, you start asking your self what else is it carrying ?

So lets stay on train because it will take us to places you will never imagine.

Keep the fire burning my friends,

Discontentment

Have you ever felt times when everything around was producing you to say negative things. I know I have. Its not the best moments. I ask myself sometimes, why am I saying this things? Why am I attacking people ? I feel we all can enter to place of discontent. When we do, every negative thought highlighted. Every small annoyance seemed magnified. Everything my kids did seem frustrating, everything thing my friends say seemed to rub me the wrong way. It is very easy to point out what we lack instead what we have.

What I do is keep my mouth shut and I start focusing to on the what is good around me. I start thanking God for my family, for my kids, for friends. I keep doing this until I come to place of over flowing of his goodness. When I am in this position I can make decisions on issues that need to be fixed. If we make decisions when we are discontent then we are reacting because we are hurting.

The last thing is surround yourself with people who will lift you up. People that will not necessarily agree with you, but will speak life into you.

Keep the fire burning

Friction will take you higher

I love to travel. Part of it is actually the flying. Seeing the mountain tops and sky gets me to think on how God loves me. Recently as we were taking off, I realize how a plane actually flies.  It is friction that creates the lift so the plane can take off.

So speed + friction = lift off.

I felt that God was showing me how you grow in life. We all don't like cirmustances, confrontations, and issues but if we don't have friction, we will never fly in life. The friction of life gives us the traction to get us to the next place. The second part of the equation is SPEED . Speed (thrust) creates the pressure againt the drag (friction) that gives you lift. Without speed, the plane would just stay on the ground. It's the same in life. If you don't have mommentum to go after your dreams, you will never go to the next level.  Start running after your dreams no matter what. If you do encounter some friction along the way consider it good news because you're about to go to the next level!

Serving someones vision

I have been in many different companies and organizations. Some have been small companies of just a few employees and others have had 50K employees. They've all had one thing in common. There is always a vision in the organization. Those who don't, tend to be persuaded by popularity or money. But those who have a vision never loose focus on where they are going. Every leader I know promotes people who support the vision of organization. They may disagree on how to do it, but they stay on the same direction of the vision.  So, from a leader's perspective, they want to raise people, but they also want to have people on their team that support the vision. True leaders do not enslave people, but rather raise them in order to accomplish the vision together. So, if the vision is big enough, it will require more then a generation to fulfill it.

But what about the servant or employee point of view? That's very good question.  There is a trend I have noticed in many organizations. People tend to start serving someone's vision but end up leaving for the wrong reason. I hope in the posting I will address some of the reasons on why people abandon the people they serve, and how to avoid this mistake. Now I don't know all the answers, but looking back to my experience, I have come to learn some things that have allowed me to stay faithful to the people I am serving.
Here are some questions that all of us have asked ourselves.
  • "They don't care about me. Do they see how hard I am working ? Don't they know I am going through the most difficult thing in my life?

These questions always hit home. And, for the most part, these questions are valid and the pain is very real. This is where we cannot allow our personal pain to interfere with our view of leaders. If you allow that then everything we say might be in disagreement with them. It's OK to disagree with leaders, but if your disagreement becomes personal, then you will end up attacking the leader personally. One of my favorite characters in the bible is Joshua. One of his greatest strength was servanthood. Joshua was in the circumstances with everyone. He grew up in slavery for all of his life. He went through the desert just like everyone else. No matter what the circumstances or what his point of view was, he always followed his leader, Moses, and he stayed faithful to the promises of God.

How do we stay faithful when we are going through circumstances? First, communicate to your leader about what you are going through. This way he will understand what you're going through. Many people I know have left organizations and the leaders never knew why. Leaders may not resolve the situation, but they will at least start making decisions that will allow you to heal and grow faster. Give them some time for this because you're not the only one that is going through the pain. In fact, leaders usually have to deal with other people's personal issues. If we knew some of the responsability that our leaders carry, we would be a lot more patient.

  • "I am finding out who I am and where I want to go, but there's no place for me here."
I like this statement because you are growing in knowing your identity and are looking for ways to go deeper. Much like that last point, it is important to communicate to your leader about what you are going through. Two things usually happen here:

1 - Your leader finds a talent that he has needed for a while and gives a you new role in the organization. Most organizations do not want to hire outside the company because they have to build relationships all over again. So if they can use someone internally, it helps them and at the same time  , it allows you to grow into something you want to do. The key is relationship! And the best relationship you can have with a leader is sonship. However the role may not be ready immeidatiely, or the mail not disclose to you because of many reasons. It could be they dont have the funding or it could be that they are waiting for you to mature in some are areas in work.

3- If  there's no place for you at the organization, then it could be the start of a transition for you. If it is, then that's great because you are growing into something bigger than you can handle. And if you are in this place you want to transition as a son. As a son you can be sent out instead of you leaving without a blessing. Most people who are "sent", are sent with a recommendation for the other organization. However,  people who "leave", burn bridges.

  • How can I serve someone if I don't agree with their values?

You can serve and honor someone and still not agree with them. If we were to serve only with people that we agreed with, then you could not work anywhere. Eventually you will be under someone that has different core values than you.  If you position yourself as a son in every situation, you will influence your leaders in a way in which they can value your opinion even if your core values do not align.

  • "My vision is not aligning up with that of the organization"

If your vision does not line up with the organization's vision, then it could be that it's time for you to leave. But you want to be sent. It is possible for you to be sent to fulfill your purpose even if your vision does not line up.  Communicate it your leader because I have found your leader has other pierce from other organizations that could help you. They may setup a meeting for you so you can transition well. If no opportunity opens up, do not rush it! Everything should be done out of relationship. Forcing things can wiil put you in a position pleese people instead of serving people.
On a note if you do "leave" an organization, dont speak against them. Even if you had the worst experience in you life, you dont want to say anything to theres about it. Most leaders know each other especially if they are in the same industry. They get together at conferences and golf courses, to discuss strategy. You dont want to hear your name in a negative way.

Ultimately the best way to serve someone, is to stay as son. Whey you position your self as a son, you will always server the best way you can. Even if you leader does not take you in under his wing, he/she will feel the support you give them. Also your leader will value more then just a servant. When you value someone, you will notice their needs and grow until the serve someone else vision. No matter where you go you will serve someones vision. If you leave to start something on your own, you will ways serve someone. Even the president of the united states role is to serve the people. Stay has a son and serve someone else vision, and others will serve your vision.

From moment your born God gave you a vision for you to full fill but at the same time you were born under your parents leadership.

Value Inheritance

For  the past month or so, I have been in a journey understanding the value of inheritance. It started when I went to Redding, CA and I saw what was built, after years of sacrifice. I walked into the place and felt so much grace and power freely. I did not have to pay anything for it. It was available for me for free. I was very humbled on the flight back as I reflected on what I sensed. I realized I had to value what they did for me. They sacrificed something for me and they had never met me.  The tendency is for us to value something that cost us something, but if someone else did then we really don't value it. This is how inheritance can be thrown away.

Inheritance is when someone leaves something that's of value to someone else. So, as a father I want to make sure my kids' inheritance has high value so they they can invest it and pass it on to my grandkids. I do not want them to inherit my debt. It's important for me to pay the price now so my kids will not have to go through the same path I did. It's important that my success is the ground they build upon. For me to accomplish this I have to value what my parents gave me in life. I have to value the price they payed for me so I could walk in what I am walking in now for free. Inheritance is not money. If your great, great, grand father took time every Saturday and played with his kids in sports, by the time you are born, you walk in a family of athletes. So,  do I value inheritance ?

  1. First, find out what you carry at the present. You can't value something if you don't know what you have.  This was the case in the The Prodigal Son story of the older brother.

28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ 31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. (Luke 15:28 - 31)

The brother saw his younger brother receiving a great deal of riches even though he blew it away and became very angry. But I believe if he knew what he had, he would have been part of the celebration.
Even his Dad reminded him that he had it all this time.

  2. Second, find out how you received your inheritance. Go back and listen to the stories of your family. It may not be the most dramatic events, but in their times it was. You get to listen to their hearts while they talk about their times of faith. Write it down so that your kids will remember what your family did. This is not for the next generation to repeat the same sacrifices, but is to remember the price they payed for you to go further. When you do this then one day others will the do the same for you.

  3. Third, learn how to steward the inheritance. A great example would be if your parents gave you a car when you turn 16. If you took care of the car, it can last you for some time. You would have to clean it, matain it, etc.. But if you did not steward what was given to you, then the possiblity of the car breaking is high. Therefore, you can end up working to pay the bills to fix it, when you could have just enjoyed something for free.

It's the same thing when you go to a work place or a ministry. When you start  a job, you actually are working for someone that started something from nothing. Their sacrifices allowed for you to work and make money. And if you steward it well, you will be be promoted and eventually hire other people for the company.

  4. Last, do not be ashamed of what has been given to you. You will find after sometime valuing inheritance, people will take notice on what you carry. This so important because what you carry is what they need. Some folks may envy it, others may serve you many ways. But it's because God is highlighting you so others can receive the inheritance also. Freely you receive, freely you give away. This is how the inheritance increases.

What happens if you value inheritance ? Then what gets started increases after each generation! Movements and ideas are not meant to die. They are meant for increase and the only way to do that is to learn to value inheritance.

Keep moving foward

As many of us, there are challenges in our lives that we have been waiting for break through. We have tried many different things to overcome them. We have prayed and applied principles that should help us. But still nothing. I believe in those moments, is where you have to "keep moving forward". One of my favorite leaders is Walt Disney. this is what he said.

"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."
Walt Disney

All the problems he faced and many times he faced them alone. There were times where he failed, but he still kept on moving forward. Even his wife question some of his decision making. But he continue moving forward. This is view is not just for business, or money. But its for all aspects of life.

"If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward."
— Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King had a dream to see that all man are created equal. Even after his assassination, his dream keeps moving forward. So if you have dream for business, family, education, church, government, entertainment, or media view the following clip from the movie "Meet the Robinsons"

Graduation Day and whats next ?

This pass weekend Terey and I graduated from BASSM. I finished 2nd year and Terey finished 1st year. What a year it has been for us. Last year it was great for me, but going through it with my wife is even better.

This year has been a year of dreams. I started with questions on how I can pursue my dreams. Like many of us, I wanted to lay out steps to get there. But during a time with friends, I was reminded of a dream of mine to create a music CD. At those moments, we have to run with what God gives you and then worry about how to do it. The tendency is to figure out how to do it before you obey what he says. So I knocked on some doors and months later a CD was released.

We also went to Nicaragua on a missions trip. We were able to minister from the poor to the wealthy. One of the highlights of the trip was that another dream of mine came to pass: to minister to government officials. Not only was I able to minister to him, but he may be running for a higher office for the nation.

I also went on a couple of ministry trips with my pastor to conferences and churches. I learned so much about how to preach to different audiences. I also learned to honor different cultures that do life differently while also recognizing what you carry when others do not recognize it.

So what's next for us? Well, over the summer, Terey and I will be doing some writing. Whether is blogging, or a book, we feel we need to pursue what God has given us to write. I will pursue it just like when I did the CD without having a gifting in music. I am not very gifted in writing, but this is not going to stop me from writing  what God has placed in my heart. With each project I am a part of, I have others helping me. Where I am weak, they are strong. Even with this blog, my postings are edited by Terey. I am very grateful to have Terey be detail-oriented where I am not. I am looking forward to God's plans for me and Terey!!

Rest vs Comfort

Home. Many of us have said "I am just taking a break".. We all have. But what are we truly saying? Are we saying that we are going back to a place where we are comfortable, or are we saying we need recoup our energy so we can keep moving forward? There is a huge difference.

In this great nation of ours, we have a huge strong work ethic that has made this country prosperous. But one of the things that it has created is a lack of rest from work. I believe this puts a strain on people to have a works a mentality;  meaning you're not significant if you're not doing something. But if you work from rest, then you are working from not pleasing anyone or even your self!! One thing I also noticed is that when you truly rest, you may not be thinking of work but an idea will come up and what would usually take hours to figure out only takes minutes to solve. While walking in rest you are always moving forward.

Some people don't want to rest though. Rather they want to give up and not move on. Take a look at Israel  and Egypt.

Numbers 14: 1-4
1That night all the people of the community raised their voices and wept aloud. 2All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert! 3Why is the LORD bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?” 4And they said to each other, “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.”

Heres a people that after 400 years of slavery,  the Lord was taking them to the promise land. Even then, they were asking to to back to Egypt. Do we say that today? Lets say you moved to another state, and its becoming more difficult, do you move back because you knew how to deal with the pain back home... ? It's called comfort zone.

The best way I can give a picture of this is in football. When your team takes a time out, you're resting and planning to make a touch down. You're not planning to the next great punt to the other team so you can feel safe..

Perspective

I love to travel. Particarly when I am on the plane and looking out the window. Looking out the window I get to see space, because I am above the clouds. And there are times I get to see the moon even at 12 o'clock. For me its a time for me to listen to God. Most of the time he shows me the same 2 things. When you position yourself above your challenges you will see your stars. You can go even higher than before. Today was one of those times, you want tell the pilot kick of the afterburners and go higher!!

The 2nd thing he shows me is the land. I get to see the differnent types of terrains. Its amazing how beutiful the earth is formed. From snow top coverd moutains to beutiful patterns of rivers and lakes. But the land is waiting for someone to take it and rise up. Can a nation, country, state, or city be saved in a day ? I believe it can. When you fly over a nation or a city that is known for crimes or poverty, but you see its beauty, then you know it's worth saving for. It's like God was showing me from His perspective: this is how I see this land. Look how beautiful she is.

Living a life from a heavenly perspective will always position you for victory.

Walking out your dreams

The last 2 days I have been in 8 hour meetings at my work to plan out our next project. Its been long and sometime boring :) but it has some what productive. During these meetings I would see my co-workers getting discourage because they are talking about their potential problems. Don't get me wrong, understanding what challenges are ahead prepares you on how attack your directions. But if you look at your potential challenges as problems then you will have a deference attitude instead of an offence attitude. Going back to the hotel the Lord showed me that this is what happens when people start walking out their dreams.

For most of us, when we start something new or start a new job we are so excited because left a situation that we did not want to be in. From the outside the new job or place seems greener from the outside. But once we start we face the challenges that takes to maintain yard to stay green. I truly believe we all have to walking our dreams, but when we do you will start facing challenges because how we respond to it determines how much you gain.

Before going to bed I looked at the plan for out next release, and I saw the challenges. Part of my job is to spot areas where we need to look into from an overall perspective. What I found was all the issues were able to be solve with new existing cool technology. When God places you in front of a challenge, he has given all your need to resolve it. You may not know it, but that's part of life. The more we found out about our self, the more we grow into our dreams.

I was really not looking forward to my trip, because I could get caught up with all the problems. But I decided to turn it around during our launch meetings and talk about their dreams. When we got back to the meeting they were laughing and finding new ways to make the client happy. Part of dreams is to bring hope to people, and this week was just another opportunity for me.

My next project begins

One of the high lights of these year was producing the "Hidden Dreams" CD, which was one of my dreams. The testimonies that I have been getting as a result of this production have been overwhelming. One thing I have learned is that by remembering the testimonies, you can start walking towards the next dream in your heart.

I am now taking my next step toward my next dream. Five years ago, the Lord placed a story in my heart about the kingdom of God. I have never excelled in writing skills, so I kept putting it off. Now I know that it is not all about my ability.  Already, He is putting people  in my life to help me with this endeavor. I don't have to do it alone. God can give me the idea and the story and others can help make it happen. I can't reveal the details about this book, but I can tell you that it will speak to both young and old hearts.

The Keys to the kingdom

Tuesday night Shawn Boltz spoke to the 2nd year class on keys from the kingdom. At the end of his message he activated us for us to receive the key that God has given us. When he prayed I felt the lords finger on my hands. I felt such love from him. One of the key he will always give us is the love key to the land that he promised you. For me is the land of Kings(leaders). But as I look at the word leaders I see some differences on how they run their kingdom.

Lets a look at some of the current world leaders.

  • Japan had a horrible earthquake, and the leadership have not been completely honest with the current situation.
  • Lybia is having a local revolution to have the terrorist Gaddafi remove from office.

These are just are example where my core values do not align with these leaders. Its easy to minister to people who you agree with, but how can I be effective to kings who's  values I dont agree with. Love is the key to their land. If they can see Love, then you have a key to open the door to their kingdom. Daniel and Josheph both interperted dreams to rulers who did wrong.  When you love someone then you dont agree with, then the door is open for you to be an influence. You can try to break in the door, but you will look like an intruder. Both Joseph and Daniel were invited, they did not have to force anything. The love key will always open the door to peoples heart.

Finish Strong

Secretariat
Since coming back from Nicaragua, I have not posted anything due to some personal matters. The last 3 weeks have had some of the toughest challenges I have ever faced in my life. During this time I began to question many different things. But I always reminded myself that God is good. That's a core value that does not change, no matter what circumstances we go through. This core value is what I rest on. As I rest on this value I gain strength to do my day to day work.

From the beginning of the school year I felt to run with what God has given me. In fact the theme song for me has been "I will run" by Misty Edwards. But like most of us, during challenges we can loose the path that God has you in.  But even during these times of challenges, when he tells you to start something, finish strong no matter what it looks like.

Take a look at Secretariat. Some of us have seen the movie, which is one of my all time favorite movies. Here is a horse that loves to run. When it was time to run the last race of the triple crown, Secretariat did not start slow like most horses did during this 1.5 mile race. He started out with a full sprint out of the gate! Most people thought he could not keep up this pace but because Secretariat was born to run, he was doing what he loves to do. Anytime you do what you love, you always will out work someone who is in it just to work.  In the stretch, Secretariat opened a 1/16 mile lead on the rest of the field. At the finish, he won by 31 lengths (breaking the margin-of-victory record set by Triple Crown winner Count Fleet in 1943, who won by 25 lengths) and ran the fastest 1½ miles on dirt in history, 2:24 flat, which broke the stakes record by more than 2 seconds. This works out to a speed of 37.5 mph for his entire performance. Secretariat's world record still stands, and in fact, no other horse has ever broken 2:25 for 1½ miles on dirt.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secretariat_(horse)

The death of Lazarus. When Jesus heard this, he did not react to the situation. In fact he stayed with his disciples 2 more days. If someone did that today they would say that they dont care, but Jesus always did what the father told him to do. He responded "This sickness will not end in death..". Here's the thing, he did not allow the circumstance to take his eye from heaven. He kept his focus on his father. This is the key to keep running even though you may be going through circumstances.

Now how we run is different with everyone. For some it could be intercession, but for others like myself it could be to keep dreaming. But how do you dream while you're dealing with events that need your attention? God does not neglect the people who are in need. In fact he does say if you feed the poor, you feed him. So if I am a dreamer, I may not have the same grace a someone who is pastoral, but I can provide someone faith to believe in the future no matter what it looks like. Your role in cirmustances is still always linked to who you are.

So for me during this season in my life, I will keep dreaming and finish strong on what God has given me because its not just for my victory but for others. It's so that I can give it away.

Day 5 of Nicaragua - Fun Day

Today was our fun day. After a long exhausted previous day with transportation problems, we went to the market place for some shopping. Like in many places in you should negotiate the prices. Thats always fun. The high light of the day was when we went Zip-lining on the top of a mountain. At first Terey did not want to do it but she did it!  She conquered her fears!

Tomorrow we are heading to the parliament to meet with officials and pray for the country! Revival is coming to Nicaragua!

Today are 2 cars came apart while we stayed at the Selva Negra black forest resort. The resort is not to bad but sceneries were beautiful. The resort grows their own coffee and sells it all over the world.

We are getting a van tomorrow so we should be good but has been on crazy day! Thats all for now..

Day 3 of Nicaragua - It was a shack, It rained, But god showed up

Day 3 we went to a village for the sick. I knew we were going to have service at a church  plant, but when I saw the location my mind was blown away on how it small it was.  Inside the hut there was mounts of dirt and cement because they were still in the process building the building.  I really did not know how we were going to have church but these people have the fire of god on them. You can see it in their eyes,
Before the service started the group split to talk to the people at the village.

Each time I visited someones house, they welcomed us with open arms. Here are these people sleeping in a home made shack no bigger then my own bedroom.  I did not understand on how they could live like this. But I could feel Gods presence in each house.

When it was time for the service we saw the rain coming, I thought they were going to cancel. They did not. They came to the small shack.  Worship begin and I lost it after that. I saw such passion and they had nothing. The roof was leaking, and the ground was muddy. And yet they worshiped like no one I ever saw. The pastor was a 60 yrs old woman who had more energy then most people I know back in the states. We have so good and yet want everything to be perfect before we can worship. But here is the lady who was dancing before the Lord in the worst condition you can imagine. I have experience so much through this. that you can worship

Day 2 of Nicaragua - The power of god

Today we went to villages for the sick. They favor was over whelming. Every house in the village welcome us with open arms.  One particular miracle was when we prayed for a elderly gentleman. He had a condition where he could not walk straight because of his Equilibrium. We prayed and he was instantly healed. He told us that he felt like a young child. So he got up from his chair and started to follow us to pray for others.

Later that night we had the even service at a church plant. When the worship started, the power of God hit like a ton of brick. Deborah Van Haelst and Rebekah Sanderson brought such a good work to empower the woman in the church. Then my lovely wife finished it with a prophetic word for the church. It was amazing!! But what touch me the most were the kids. They would worship with such passion. Lord let worship with the heart of a child!

Day 1 of Nicaragua - The land is ready

The moment we landed in Nicaragua, we prophecied to a gentleman on the plane who's mom had a heart attack.  His face change completely after receiving prayer.
I asked the Lord what do you want for Nicaragua?  He said "the land is ready". When we drove to the church, we drove to a land that was prepared for a new building for the church. You can fill his presence all over the area.  To some people they may see poor people, but the people were rich in his presence.
That night we worshipped on the new land with no building just on dirt. The church was celebrating there 4th anniversary we were there to worship and celebrate with them.  I was given the honor to preach that night. It was short and sweet, but just delivered what God was saying to the church and land. Then the team minister the rest of the night.  Many miracles took place.  Eyes were healed,  and many were saved.

Hidden Dreams

Since I was a child I have always wanted to produce a worship CD. Well last week my dream came true. The CD was released at the Heaven Invasion Conference. I knew people were going to be touched by it, but I did not know how much. The feedback I have been getting has been overwhelming.

As with many dreams we have, we tend to store them away because of a lack of identity. But during some soaking time at my community group, he reminded me about the dream again. I know when the Lord shows you something under his presence, its because he has given you the green light. I dont think he told me not to do it, but he did make the green brighter. Now how can I produce a cd if I did not know anything about the music industry. I dont sing, write, or produce music. All I knew is when God tells you to do something, it does not matter how incapable you are, he will  use you just as you are.

First the Lord blessed me with crazy favor to work with producer John Eley. John can produce some heavenly music with his finger. I then presented the idea to my 2nd year BASSM class to see if anyone wanted to sign-up. A few worship leaders signed up and we scheduled the recording sessions.

During the recording sessions, a wonderful artist Stacy Hawley sat and heard the recording so she can get inspired to paint the cd cover. During the recording I could feel the room change with his love.  As the worship artists sang their original lyrics, I could see God's dreams in them. I said to myself this is what I am called for, to help people enter their promised land. One of the worship artists is also a graphic designer. So now the Lord sent a producer, singers, musicians, an artist/painter, and a graphic designer. So what did I do? I just decided to act on a God given idea and see it through to the end. To be part of a project and invest into worship artists is such an honor and pleasure. What did I learn? I learned that sometimes your dreams come out different than what you think. They always turn out better than you expected.

At this point, I did not know what the title was going to be. After listening to the songs, I realized  that "hidden dreams" were being released in the kingdom, and that's how the title came. After getting the music mastered, and the graphic design done, I sent it to be duplicated. When we released the cd at the conference, it was such a blessing to see the reaction of the people.

I want to thank all the people involved with this project: John Eley, Patrick Barriente, Erin Dawdy, Deborah Van Haelst, Patrick Carroll, Katy Casper, Ches Youngblood, Leigh Harper, and Stacy Hawley. I also want to thank: the staff at the Bethel Atlanta School of Supernatural Ministry, my parents for showing me how to hear from God and follow him all of my life, my brother who keeps reminding me on what it is to be a King of  the kingdom, my sister who shows me that you can find the best in the unknown, and last but not least my wife who pushes me to go after my dreams. She always sees my dreams and knows how to make them happen. Most importantly, my papa in heaven deserves thanks glory and praise for making this possible. He is always cheering me on, no matter what I am going through. I love you God!

Theres Hope in the Cloud Part 3 of 3

This is the last posting on "There's Hope in the Cloud".  You might be asking what is the cloud then? Let's look at the life of Moses. He grew up in a rich environment. He had wealth, success, etc. He knew how to live like a king but after an encounter with the Lord he was chosen to take the people to the promised land. In Exodus 33:14 the Lord tells Moses that he will send his presence with him and will give him rest. Moses replies "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here". Put yourself in his position. You have been called and chosen by God to lead people to the promised land from slavery after 400 years. Then you say you will rather stay where you're at if your not in his presence.  He was not looking for a fix, he was looking for a relationship with God. He could have just settled for a quick fix to be set free from his circumstances (the desert) but he chose to stay connected with him. Its possible for us to be walking in God's plan but not be in his presence. God's plan was for Israel to be set free, but Moses chose his presence with him.  Joshua understood this, because he stayed around the tent during God's visitation.

Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the “tent of meeting.” Anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp. "8 And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent. 9 As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses. 10 Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent. 11 The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent." - Exodus 33:8-11

This is a huge. It's not enough to just recognize his presence. We have to host it also. Dwell in it! When we do that, we give everything about ourselves every aspect of our lives to have hope. Bill Johnson says "Any area of a persons life that's not under the influence of hope is under a influence of a lie". If you can not see hope during circumstances, in the promises of God, I would suggest to you, get in his presence. When we get in his presence we will find his love for us!! His love is Jesus! Christ in you, the hope of Glory!

Theres Hope in the Cloud Part 2 of 3

On my last posting I wrote about seeing hope in the cloud in the midst of your circumstances. This time I would like to talk about seeing God's promises in the cloud.

When God gives you a promise, he has already set something in motion for it to come to pass. It is up to us to align ourselves to what God is doing to attain it. When God gave Abraham a promise he said to him "I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies" Genesis 22:17. Now lets move forward to when Jesus was born and the wise men followed the star of Bethlehem. Is it possible that the star was created when the promise was given to Abraham? If that is the case, hope lingered through thousands of years since the promise was given. Jesus and his descendants are Abraham's seed. That's the promise that was given many years ago to him. Why I bring this up is that I think stars are symbolic of God's promises. They are always there, but the clouds hide them during the day. When we hold true the promises of God, you may not understand how they will come to pass. Nevertheless, you have to grab hold of the hope associated with the promises or you will miss it. Abraham did not understand how the promise God gave him would come true, but he stood fast on his promise and had his son, the first of many descendants through Christ that were promised him.

In Exodus 19:9 God told Moses "I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you". When he did in Exodus 20, the people rejected him. He wanted to talk to them directly. His attention was not to depend on Moses but to have a relationship with them. The people did not want that and grieved God's heart and therefore the promise was delayed. When you receive a promise of God, how you perceive it can determine how you respond to it. Fast forward ahead, at the mount of transfiguration where God came in the cloud and spoke about his son. At first they were afraid, but Jesus assured them not to be afraid. When they looked up, Jesus was the only one left. I believe He had to be the only one left because he represented hope.

I feel that every person on this earth has cloud of promises that covers them filled with hope. If we look we will see Jesus the hope of Glory. But its up to us to grab it.

Theres Hope in the Cloud Part 1 of 3

When you get to know me, you find that I look at life with the glass half way full instead of half way empty. Hope is a core value in my life because I always look for cloud. Looking at the cloud is what keeps me going. I have observe 3 views of this:
  1. The cloud in circumstances
  2. The cloud in the promises of God
  3. Staying in the cloud
That I will talk about each of these in 3 different blog entries. But Lets begin with seeing the cloud in the mist of circumstances.

All of us no matter where are at we all have to deal with some type of circumstance in our lives. Weather your dealing with our kids fighting in the back of the car and your stuck in traffic, to looking for the next check in the mail to pay for your light or they will turn it off. Everyday life throws all types of issues but is how we respond to it.

This reminds me of a 1 Kings 18. There was a famine in the land and the Ahab was looking for ways to keep the nation a float. But the prophet Elijah came with the a different perspective. He had a heavenly view of the situation. Not only he was able to show the sin issues, but he was able to hear the rain before the cloud came. He brought hope to the land because he knew where to get from. If we look for hope in other places then we are using human reasoning which only temporary. When your eyes are focused cloud, then you will find an abundance rain(blessings) no matter what problems you have.

Another great example finding hope in the cloud is when Israel was in the desert under the heat. In Exodus 13:21 got sent a pillar of cloud to guide them in their way. So not only he gave them hope during the desert but it guided them also.

Since the beginning of the this school year I can hear the sound of rain. I have had many challenges during this year but my focus is seeing the cloud. Friends, No matter where you are at, God has sent his cloud ahead of us and wants to bless us abundantly.
